Just a reminder, if you want to see progress and art as I go through trying to make an animated short somehow, please view my production blog at http://kroh-animation.blogspot.com/
I promise there will be some good stuff there, and I update every Friday.

Boss Battle
I hate doing self portraits, but they're a necessary enemy in obtaining artistic skill. I'm also starting to finally keep track of how long it takes me do things, starting with this. Approx 35 min, start to end.

Work in Progress
Because I'm a horrible idiot and delight in making bad decisions, I've started putting together the assets necessary for my own animated short. And while I've worked on shorts before, never seeing any finished, this one is going to rest almost solely on my shoulders (I've recruited character modelers and riggers but that's about it). Which is horrifying and exciting, in that I'll have more control and the responsibility of finishing it is on me, but I'll have to figure out animating, lighting, and rendering.
However, I'm looking forward to it and even if I fail, I'll have some good portfolio art out of it. I'm working on a blog for it once things are more underway (Characters are being modeled, story thumbs are being refined and environment is being designed) so I can post more interesting chunks of it.

The French make cool stuff
Not only do they hold pastry baking to a much higher standard, which is why I'd never be able to visit or I would become morbidly obese in very little time, but they make other cool things too. Gobelins and other such stuff aside (If you haven't seen The Illusionist yet you probably need to) I'm geeking out over A Monstre à Paris, which if I had the money to, would fly to France the day it comes out just to see it. And to eat cake. So much cake. The trailer:
Et La Seine:
And here and here are some links to some concept art for the movie. Anyway, it will be a couple of days before I manage to singing La Seine to myself all the time.

Filling Space
Haven't been in the mood to stare at a screen for extended periods of time lately. Really just wanna practice roller skating but the weather has been killer. :\ Here's an older painting tho' that hasn't seen the light of day much I think.
Really inspired by Goro Fujita since that guy is one of my heroes.

In Living Color
Okay gotta actually do a background and something to put his leg on, but putting that off in favor of actually doing productive type things. Like matte paintings! And animation! In the meantime, enjoy the only time I will ever say the phrase "Gee, I never knew coloring a scabby cancer scarred ridden face is fun!"
